Already committed to John Hillcoat’s adaptation of the Cormac McCarthy thriller The Road ( Alongside Viggo Mortensen and Charlize Theron )..

It appears that there has been a casting change for the role of ‘ Young Logan ’ in X - Men Origins: Wolverine.. Thirteen year old Perth native, Troye Mellet has nabbed the role.. The youngster earned the role of playing the young version of the character made famous by Hugh Jackman in the X - Men films thanks, in part, to YouTube videos of him singing..

After seeing the YouTube videos, Mellet was asked to submit an audition tape which earned him the role.. Mostly unknown, Mellet has performed professionally as a singer on Australian Telethons and has also acted on stage playing the lead in the stage play of Oliver in Sydney, Australia..

One more piece of Wolverine casting news has been leaked, this time revealing that it will be Kevin Durand inside the rubber suit that will define The Blob in X - Men Origins: Wolverine.. Kevin Durand, a working actor who has appeared in quite a few pictures without breaking into the mainstream attention ( Butterfly Effect, Scooby Doo 2, Smokin’ Aces ) is rumored to have already been “ live - scanned ” for the role of the Blob, even though his addition to the project theoretically just became official in the last few days..

Durand will be shooting most of his scenes in Canada, beginning as early as March 2008..What’s interesting about that is that the bulk of the X - Men Origins: Wolverine shoot is currently filming here in Sydney, Australia.. So, it’s possible that the Blob won’t share many scenes with the other primary characters, or that Durand’s work will be done in front of a green - screen and then later added in with the other actors..

X - Men Origins: Wolverine will star Hugh Jackman ( Wolverine ), Liev Schreiber ( Sabretooth ), Danny Huston ( William Stryker ), Lynn Collins ( Silver Fox ) Kevin Durand ( As The Blob ) and Ryan Reynolds ( As Deadpool )..
