The chrome - domed Brit will yet again play Frank, the mercenary delivery driver who will transport any package, anywhere, no questions asked..

Plot details for the sequel haven’t been released yet, although Tomorrow’s Entertainment has caught wind that Statham will re - team with co - star Francois Berleand ( Tarconi ) for the third film in the franchise.. The film will also feature Robert Knepper ( Prison Break’s T-Bag ) as the villain..

Olivier Megaton ( Who is currently filming The Incredible Hulk ) has signed on to replace Louis Leterrier - who handled directing duties on the first two Transporter films.. The film will be produced by EuropaCorp principal Luc Besson and Steve Chasman..

The first two Transporter films featured screenplays by Besson and Robert Mark Kamen and saw a worldwide box office return of more than $130 million.. This may mean they wrote this one as well but there is no official word.. Transporter 3 will shoot for 16 weeks on location in Russia and France starting sometime in March or April.. There is no release date so far..
