South Park Get’s Three More Years..
Fourth grade just goes on and on for Kyle, Kenny, Stan and Cartman, the beloved boys of South Park.. They’ll be back on Comedy Central for at least another three seasons, as part of a deal that gives Trey Parker and Matt Stone not only more time to offend and re - offend, but also gives them major control over the show’s web identity..
Since those early days, though, Parker and Stone have had virtually no control over South Park’s distribution on the internet; YouTube has pretty much taken care of that, royalties - free, and they’re putting it to an end.. As part of their new contract with Comedy Central, Parker and Stone will be in charge of the website SouthParkStudios.com, where they hope to beef up their legitimate, royalties - included web presence..
South Park creators Matt Stone and Trey Parker have agreed to a three - year extension of their Emmy - and Peabody - Award - winning animated series.. The deal with Comedy Central also includes a joint venture to create South Park Digital Studios to extend the shows reach across various digital platforms..
” Three more years of ‘ South Park ‘ will give us the opportunity to offend that many more people,” Stone said in a statement released Monday.. ” And since Trey and I are in charge of the digital side of ‘ South Park,’ we can offend people on their cell phones, game consoles, and computers too.. It’s all very exciting for us..”
Parker and Stone will continue to write, direct and edit every episode of South Park, as they have since the premiere of the series in August 1997.. It all started as a short called Jesus vs Santa that flew around Hollywood via e - mail.. Which of course you can watch here at ” Tomorrow’s Entertainment..”
South Park is nominated for an Emmy for the episode ” Make Love, Not Warcraft..” The Emmy winners will be announced on the 16th September 2007..
