Lost Boys: The Tribe..
It’s been 21 years since the Frog brothers, Corey Feldman and and Corey Haim, took on and beat the killer vampires and now they’re back for a sequel..
An homage to coincide with the 20th anniversary of the 1987 cult hit The Lost Boys, Lost Boys 2: The Tribe now called Lost Boys: The Tribe tells the story of a brother and sister who move to a sleepy surf town in California, only to get mixed up with a gang of surfers that are more than they appear to be.. Corey Feldman - who reprises his Edgar Frog character - looks exactly the same.. ( His brother in the 1987 version, Jamison Newlander, also returns as Alan Frog..)
Although it was once believed that Corey Haim would be starring as well, he is not in this very unnecessary sequel.. ( Let’s just say the guy has ‘ issues ’..)
Lost Boys: The Tribe takes place in Luna Bay, where vampire surfers quickly dispatch anyone who crosses their path.. Into this dark world arrive moody Chris Emerson ( Hilgenbrink ) and his shy sister, Nicole ( Reeser ).. Having lost their parents in a car accident, the siblings move in with their eccentric Aunt Jillian and become new prey for the local surfers.. When Nicole unwittingly drinks the blood of a vampire, Chris must locate and destroy the gang’s Head Vampire, Shane ( Sutherland ) before his sister’s transformation is complete..
I still don’t think the appearance of Feldog and Haimster is going to be enough to save a sequel that’s really uncalled for and far past the window of opportunity.. I guess we’ll see when the DVD arrives this summer, although the trailer will also probably give us a pretty good indication too.. Expect it to play up the two Coreys appearance, however, which isn’t supposed to be much more than a cameo..
Featuring performances and cameos by actors from the original film, including Corey Feldman and Jamison Newlander as the infamous Frog Brothers, Lost Boys: The Tribe continues the Lost Boys legend and maintains the tone and integrity of the original film..
According to Corey Feldman himself this trailer is “ a tad different ” than the version that will be released next week on the I Am Legend DVD..

I can’t wait! I know it will be terrible, but it’s fun seeing the brother back in action. I still think of Lost Boys as a Kiefer Sutherland movie though, shame he is not in this one. Hope the soundtrack is just as great as the original one.

At least there is some kind of Sutherland landing the part of lead vampire role.. Angus Sutherland, which is Kiefer Sutherland’s Younger half - brother.. Hopefully the soundtrack will be as great.. As long as they put ” Cry Little Sister ” on it..
I stand corrected.. It turns out Corey Haim will be in the film after all, though his role is being left vague.. It seems he has a cameo role in the film.. At one stage, he had pulled out, but seems to have settled the problem..
