Aliens vs Predator - Requiem Update..

A new ( Presumably ) international trailer for 20th Century Fox’s Aliens vs Predator - Requiem has appeared online.. This looks like the version they’re most likely to end up in theaters, since it’s not red - banded and there’s at least some attempt to set up the film’s story rather than teasing a series of endless kill shots..

As you can see, there is also an official poster that has been released.. Like all of the updates before it, the poster is impressive; most impressive.. And, for those of you who, like me, couldn’t figure out why Fox would choose December 25th as a release date, here is why:

This Christmas there will be no peace on Earth..

In a recent interview, the brothers said..

” We wanted to ( go R-rated ) with it,” confirmed Colin.. “I mean, we chest - burst a little kid!”

“Yeah, he dies,” laughs Greg ” Onscreen, and very painfully.. It’s pretty f - ed up, but breaking some of the rules is a good thing here..”

Amongst the details given were the following..

* The Predalien, seen bursting from the chest of a Predator at the end of the 2004 movie, will appear, and play a very big part..

* The whip used by the Predator in the trailer is inspired by the concept of an Alien tail..* Talking of inspiration, the Alien sounds are all remastered from James Camerons Aliens, and the designs are inspired by the Warrior Alien designs..

* The majority of the movie is based in small town America, with victems being ‘ blue collar,’ a nod to the ‘ blue collar ‘ workers in the original Alien..

* There will be a ‘ Ripley ‘ style character..

* It will be set up for a possible sequel, set in space..

Opening Christmas Day, the R - rated sci - fi action - adventure stars Reiko Aylesworth, Steven Pasquale, John Ortiz, Shareeka Epps, Johnny Lewis, Sam Trammell and David Paetkau.. It was directed by brothers Greg and Colin Strause..
