20th Century Fox is ready to bring on the pain.. Max Payne, that is.. The studio is reportedly looking to put the long - gestating game - to - film adaptation before cameras in the coming months.. The studio has included Max Payne on its slate of pre - strike projects.. And it looks like 20th Century Fox has Mark Wahlberg in the crosshairs for the role of Max Payne..

Paramount Pictures and director JJ Abrams have beamed Winona Ryder aboard to play the Vulcan mother of a young Spock ( Zachary Quinto ) in the upcoming Star Trek.. Now, if true, Trekkies will have their heads as it goes against the established Trek lore in which Spock is the offspring of a Vulcan father, Sarek, and a human mother named Amanda Grayson.. It could be that the rumors got it wrong in hearing she is playing ” the vulcan mother ” instead of ” the mother of the vulcan Spock..” So, we’re very intrigued to see how Abrams and his writers, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, are going to explain away the presence of a Vulcan mother - step-mum, perhaps? Foster parent? Does Spock not know at this point who his real mother is? Or are they pulling something a bit more grandiose and revisionist?

There’s been a lot of talk lately about how 3:10 to Yuma has reenergized the Western genre, and that’s great.. Except it’s been resurrected by a remake, which probably means more remakes of other Westerns in the future, rather than exciting new material.. Now High Noon is going to be getting a remake too..

Recently Tomorrow’s Entertainment informed you that HellRaiser was up for a remake.. Well we recent heard that the project is moving forward with Clive Barker sitting back to watch over Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury, who are set to direct the upcoming remake..
