Ben Cross has been beam up with the cast of director J.J. Abrams’ new Star Trek movie.. The 59 year old British actor Ben Cross has been cast as Spock’s Vulcan father Sarek.. Mark Lenard played the role in the original series and feature films ( Jonathan Simpson played a younger Sarek in Star Trek V: The Final Frontier ).. Cross, best known for his starring role in Chariots of Fire, will play the husband of Amanda Grayson ( Played by Winona Ryder ), the human mother of Spock ( Played by both Zachary Quinto and Leonard Nimoy)..

David Twohy has stated on his blog that he is still interested in making a sequel to The Chronicles of Riddick.. Here is what he had to say on the matter..
” Okay, okay, now on to the really important stuff like ” What the f**k is happening with RIDDICK?” Yes, I get your emails demanding another movie; yes, I keep bumping into you guys in airports and at conventions and I take your pleas to heart. All I can say now is ” We’re talking about it.” The DVD numbers were really good - we know that, and some potential financiers know that. But if another movie surfaces, it probably won’t be a Universal movie and probably will be an independent movie. Which means we’ll have to make it for substantially less than the last installment. But that’s okay. PITCH BLACK was $22 million all in. Maybe it’s time to go back to our roots - as we go on to The UnderVerse.

Casting has been completed on the much - anticipated latest installment of the Harry Potter franchise, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.. This is the sixth film in a franchise with a set ending that is close approaching.. Harry Potter fans worldwide can breathe a sigh of relief at least in the sense that all their surviving cast favorites will be on - hand for this new feature.. David Yates, director of the previous Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, will also return for one more turn at the helm alongside producer’s David Heyman, and David Baron.. Screenwriter of the first four films Steve Kloves will also be on hand to do the honors for Half Blood Prince..

At the end of October Tomorrow’s Entertainment informed you about the upcoming Angels & Demons.. Since then the follow - up to Tom Hanks’ blockbuster The Da Vinci Code is the first major film to be hit by the Hollywood writers’ strike.. With the writer’s strike still ongoing, production has been postponed and its release delayed..
